recipe: creamy chicken korma

Let me start this by saying that of all the things I have made these past few months, I am probably the most proud of this one. It hasn’t been my favourite (I’m still loving Nigella’s Spanish chicken), but don’t worry, it is delicious. I’m just so proud of the fact that I made a curry FROM SCRATCH. That’s right, no curry from a jar for this domestic goddess. I got this recipe from The Australian Women’s Weekly 1000 Best Ever Recipes book that one of my lovely aunties bought me for Christmas a few years ago. I’m proud to present, Creamy Chicken Korma. recipe: ham, tomato and spinach macaroni cheese

Two weeks in a row I’ve gone without Nigella and it’s starting to feel weird now, but I’ve been loving the food I’ve tried. One of my favourite food magazine’s is Super Food Ideas for which I bought my Dad a subscription for Father’s Day (I’m so smart). Every time a new issue arrives, I pour over it and pick out all the food I want to make (usually the dessert themed foods) but then I make only one. So this is my one: Ham, Tomato and Spinach Macaroni CheeseRead More

recipe: nigella’s soup made with garlic and love

Recently, my poor sister had all of her wisdom teeth removed and so I decided to make a soup for her. As I have mentioned before, it is one of the things that I love about winter. I just simply adore soup. I also have a bit of a soft spot for garlic so when the recipe in Nigella’s Kitchen cookbook for her Soup made with garlic and love, I thought it ticked all the boxes. recipe: nigella’s tarragon chicken

I think it’s safe to say that I am a big fan of Nigella Lawson. I have three of her cookbooks and I love watching her cooking shows on Lifestyle FOOD. Not all of her recipes are ground breaking, they might be different takes on the classics, but as a lover of all chicken dishes, I had to give her Tarragon Chicken a try (from Kitchen). recipe: pork wonton soup

Becoming a domestic goddess is hard work, but I feel like I’m handling it quite well (if I do say so myself). Today’s recipe comes from an old Woolworths Fresh magazine (that was free!!!) and it’s to make Pork Wonton Soup. I know that Rosso thinks everyone is being a food snob/blogger these days, but really, I just want to share some good recipes with you! Read More

recipe: nigella’s spanish chicken with chorizo and potatoes

I’ve recently decided it’s time to start training to be a Domestic Goddess. I’ve been a lover of Nigella Lawson for such a long time and I own three of her cookbooks (Kitchen, Nigella Bites and How To Be A Domestic Goddess, in case you were wondering). It has come to my attention lately that when I actually cook a meal, it’s rarely from a recipe and is something simple like pasta or meat and veg.

I made the executive decision that every Monday night, I will cook dinner for the family (yes, I still live at home) and I will use recipes as opposed to the basic staples. So last night, I decided to try Nigella’s Spanish Chicken with Chorizo and Potatoes. Read More
