Hello and welcome back to “the low down according to mon”. So sorry I’ve been MIA the past few weeks but I hope you all were still reading my celebrity highlights post over on KiKi & Tea. It’s been a crazy few weeks and I’ll do my best to stay on top of these posts because I know how much some of you love them. All this information was accurate when posted at 9AM (AEDT)…
Is Jason Segel leaving How I Met Your Mother? That’s the rumour that has been floating around after an Austrian website quoted him as saying “It’s great to do some ‘rated R’ stuff again, because I’ve been playing the nice guy for quite a long time now. That’s why I’m gonna quit How I Met Your Mother after the eighth season.” Don’t get too upset just yet, a rep for Segel has said the comments were taken out of context and said that neither Segel nor the rest of the cast have even discussed contracts past season eight with the CBS. I honestly wouldn’t blame him if he did leave, eight years is a long time to be playing the same role and in all honesty, I just want to meet the mother.
Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler are now parents to a bouncing baby boy! Camden Jack was born on the 8th August and weighed a healthy 7 pounds 9 ounces. Congratulations to the new Mum and Dad, can’t wait for a little sneak peek.
This week we finally got to see the newest member of the Kardashian family. Kourtney Kardashian, her two-year-old Mason and one month old Penelope Scotland Disick were on the cover of US Weekly and my goodness are they an adorable family. Kourtney was quoted as saying “Nothing could prepare me for how hard I fell in love with her”, how cute is that! Apparently Scott Disick is being an excellent father but he still hasn’t Penelope’s nappy. Weird.
Black Swan star Natalie Portman married her baby daddy Benjamin Millepied over the weekend. The were married in a traditional Jewish ceremony in front of 60 close friends and family including Diane Sawyer and director husband Mike Nichols, Ivanka Trump, Macaulay Culkin and Rashida Jones after sundown on Saturday. The guests were treated to a vegetarian feast and partied until 2:30am. No pictures have shown Aleph, the couple’s son who was born June 2011, but Natalie looked so happy in her gorgeous Rodarte gown.
Turns out Kate Bosworth is engaged, at least, that’s what she seems to say on her blog when she wrote “On our first day in Seoul, my fiancé, Michael Polish, and I venture out to discover Changdeokgung Palace”. The couple have been together since August 2011. No official confirmation yet but she hasn’t really said anything that could be taken the wrong way.
The Hunger Games star Stanley Tucci got secretly married to Felicity Blunt, sister of actress Emily Blunt. The two met after Emily introduced them. This is the second marriage for Stanley who’s first wife Kate died in 2009 after a battle with cancer.
Jennifer Lawrence has reportedly received a huge payrise to appear in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and apparently Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth aren’t happy about it. Head on over to KiKi & Tea later today for more details.
Check out the new trailer for the Knocked Up sequel This Is 40 that focuses on the relationship between Pete (Paul Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann):
Check out Kelly Clarkson covering the mother of all break-up songs “Don’t Speak” by No Doubt. Kelly apparently performs one request from the audience per show. Legend.
