Grab your morning coffee (or in my case tea) and get comfortable while I fill you in on the most interesting happenings from Hollywood this past week. For first time readers, the low down according for mon is for all the wonderful people out there who like knowing what’s happened in the celebrity world, but don’t visit gossip sites daily like yours truly. As always, remember to head on over to KiKi & Tea at 4pm to check out my highlights edition. All of this information was accurate when posted at 9AM (AEST)…
Bridesmaids star Ellie Kemper became the bride when she married longtime boyfriend Michael Koman on the weekend. Kristen Wiig and The Office co-star Mindy Kaling were among those at the ceremony in New York City. They are reportedly spending their honeymoon with two weeks in France. Congratulations! Grey’s Anatomy star Sara Ramirez and longtime boyfriend Ryan Debolt also got married in New York this past week.
A few months after Heidi Klum officially filed for divorce, it seems that Seal has rebounded with a mystery brunette! Seal was seen on a yacht in Italy getting cosy with this hottie brunette, showing that he’s moving on. We’ve also heard from Heidi recently that she doesn’t think she’ll ever get married again.
Apparently, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson might be taking the next big step as rumour has it that KStew tried on engagement rings! She was apparently looking at rings in the Neil Lane jewellery store in West Hollywood. Claude Morady Estate Jewelry in Los Angeles posted a link to the engagement story on their Facebook page along with the caption “We can neither confirm nor deny first hand knowledge of this rumor. :)” I’m not sure what I think of this rumour, but it’s unlikely we’ll find out any time soon.
There were rumours that Modern Family star Sofia Vergara got engaged to boyfriend Nick Loeb while in Mexico celebrating her 40th birthday after she was spotted wearing a ring on THAT finger. But according to reports, there was a proposal but Sofia didn’t say yes, yet is choosing to wear the ring anyway. Hmmmm seems unlikely to me.
After spending the 4th of July together, rumours are circulating that country music star Taylor Swift is dating Hollywood offspring Patrick Schwarzenegger. They were pictured hugging and ‘sources’ say that they’re getting to know each other and she thinks he’s cute. Patrick also tweeted “Had such an amazing day. Best 4th of July I could ask for. Hope everyone had a great day!” I’ll keep you posted.
I was working all week to find a whole bunch of links to keep you all updated on the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes divorce saga, but it turns out that all of that was pretty useless considering TomKat had possibly THE fastest divorce settlement in the history of
Hollywood all divorces in the world! In statements released by their legal teams, they shared the news. According to Katie’s lawyer: “The case has been settled and the agreement has been signed. We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life. We thank Tom’s counsel for their professionalism and diligence that helped bring about this speedy resolution.” According to Tom’s lawyer: “The Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes case has been settled with a signed agreement. Tom is really pleased we got there, and so am I.” But despite all the rumours circulating surrounding the settlement and custody of Suri, Katie’s lawyer shot them down saying that the reports are false and that the details are confidential and will remain so.
On a recent interview with CenterStage, Anger Management star Charlie Sheen said that he came up with Winona Ryder‘s stage name (her last name is Horowitz) but that the actress never gave him credit. “We were listening to the Doors, to ‘Riders on the Storm … And I said, ‘You know, I’m thinking Winona Ryder sounds cool,’ and she was like, ‘Yeah!'” I wonder if Winona has anything to say about that?
In some terribly sad news, Usher‘s 11-year-old stepson Kyle Glover was involved in a boating accident over the weekend and has unfortunately been declared brain dead as he has shown no signs of brain activity since being admitted to hospital. Kyle is the son of Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Foster from a previous relationship and the RnB star apparently had a very close relationship with him. There has been no word on what the family are planning to do following diagnosis. For more news, remember to head over to KiKi & Tea at 4pm!
After being born four months ago, we got our first peak at Samuel Affleck, son of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner as they celebrated the 4th of July. He was also spotted in an adorable onesy on the playground with his gorgeous Mum and older sisters, Violet and Seraphina were playing. Who do you think he looks like the most? I think he has his Mum’s pout but is looking like his Daddy. Other sneak peaks we got this week: first look at Keeva, Alyson Hannigan’s second baby girl and Jessica Capshaw‘s little cutie, Poppy.
Twilight star, Jackson Rathbone and his girlfriend Sheila Hafsadi became parents this past week when they welcomed to the world a baby boy called Monroe Jackson Rathbone VI who weighed a modest 8 pounds and 11 ounces (which is what I weighed when I was born FYI). Based on the roman numeral on the end, it’s obvious it’s a family name. Congratulations to the happy couple!
In other baby news from the Twilight family, Cam Gigandet and his fiancé Dominique Geisendorff are expecting their second child together. The couple have a three-year-old daughter, Everleigh Rae. Apparently Lily Allen and hubby Sam Cooper are expecting a little sibling for Ethel (born November
1842 2011). So far this is just speculation, will let you know if/when there is confirmation.
Another person has joined the Kardashian clan! Kourtney Kardashian gave birth to her and Scott Disick‘s second child, a girl, on Sunday. The little girl was named Penelope Scotland Disick and has a big brother in 2-year-old Mason. Penelope was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA and weighed 7 pounds and 14 ounces. All the Kardashian’s are over the moon.
Sienna Miller became a first time Mum over the weekend with fiancé Tom Sturridge when they welcomed a baby girl called Marlow. No other details have been released.
For Adele baby news, head on over to KiKi & Tea at 4pm!

In amazing band news, there will be a Fleetwood Mac reunion in 2013, and the band that made Gwen Stefani famous, No Doubt are releasing their first new album in 11 years. And Steven Tyler is no longer a judge on American Idol.
Before Amy Winehouse died, she was working on a collaboration with rapper Nas. The track, Cherry Wine, will feature on his album Life Is Good, set for release in July 17. Nas was initially reluctant to share their collaboration but decided it was worth sharing, have a listen:
Oscar-winning actor, Ernest Borgnine has died aged 95. The actor died of renal failure surrounded by his wife and children at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The actor’s most famous role was as Fatso Judson, who beat Frank Sinatra to death in From Here to Eternity.
Last week, I told you about the sad news of Andy Griffith‘s passing and said at the time, the cause of death was unknown. I can now tell you that the official cause of death was a heart attack. He reportedly suffered a heart attack 24 hours before his death and also suffered from a variety of illnesses that included coronary artery disease, hypertension and hyperlipidemia, a form of high cholesterol.
Marvel has released a new concept art image from the upcoming Iron Man 3, which shows Iron Man aka Robert Downey Jr fighting with bad guys as his armoured suit emerges from his body. According to E! Online: “the image immediately reinforced fanboys’ theories that the film’s top-secret plot would indeed be based on the comic book’s famous Extremis storyline, in which a scientist creates a drug that grants superhuman abilities to its subjects.” It looks pretty cool.
After nine months of filming, Peter Jackson‘s The Hobbit has completed principle filming. The film, which will be separated into two parts (as seems to be the norm lately), will hit theatres in December, while the second instalment, named The Hobbit: There And Back Again will be released exactly a year later. The film has exceedingly high expectations surrounding it, do you think it will live up to the hype? What do you think of the Comic Con 2012 movie poster?
Earlier in the week E! Online reported that Oscar-winning actor, Philip Seymour Hoffman had snagged the role of head gamemaker Plutarch Heavensee in The Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire. I’m very excited to share with you that Lionsgate released an official statement tying Hoffman to the role. I think he will be fantastic! In other Catching Fire news, the trilogy’s final film, Mockingjay, will be split into two films (surprise, surprise) to be released a year apart.
Despite popular rumours, famed director Christopher Nolan has publicly said that he will not be making another Batman film, which means that he won’t be making the highly anticipated Justice League movie. It’s OK guys, you’re allowed to mourn.
VIDEO FOR THE WEEKEND
I love a good celebrity sibling and so I especially loved Doug Pitt (brother of Brad) in this commercial for Virgin Mobile Australia:
