Russell Brand hosted the 2012 MTV Movie Awards this year. The funny man made some pretty hilarious jokes, but at the beginning, it just sounded like he was reading every word from an individual cue card. But don’t worry guys, he improved! As well as saying “HUNGER GAMES” and “TWILIGHT” a million times and making awkward jokes about his private life.
The Hunger Games may have beaten out Twilight in almost every category, but they still took home Best Kiss and Best Movie, which are probably the most important categories of the night! I was so angry that RPatz and KStew won Best Kiss…AGAIN! Should have been Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. Just saying. Keep reading for my full wrap up and full list of winners…
My wrap up: Johnny Depp was pretty awesome rocking out with The Black Keys after receiving the Generation Award. Emma Stone was so cute when she was tearing up accepting her Trailblazing Award. I loved Joel McHale and Jennifer Lawrence‘s little segment on archery. Worst fake fighting ever goes to Charlize Theron and Irish guy. I was devastated that Emma Watson was the only HP person there. Christian Bale chocking up while mentioning Heath Ledger, seemed fake. Favourite award acceptance: Elizabeth Banks for best on-screen transformation. Biggest surprise: Bridesmaids won nothing.

Time for the FASHION:
Biggest risk taker: Elizabeth Banks
The Hunger Games actress wore a black stretch crepe long sleeve Elie Saab jumpsuit with lace cutout panels. She finished off her look with black heels, also by Saab. I think she pulled it off beautifully.
Cutest outfit: Victoria Justice.
I’ve never heard of her before but I think she looked adorable in an asymmetrical white and yellow Erin Fetherston dress accessorized with a black belt and clutch.
Biggest miss: Ellie Kemper.
I just did not like this yellow/floral ensemble (can’t find who designed it). It’s just….tacky.

Thanks Sonia
I just loved Elizabeth’s outfit, it definitely suited the MTV Movie Awards, it’s where you can have a bit of fun, and she definitely has the figure to pull it off!
